Unlike many budgets in the past, this was perhaps the first time several industry level announcements were made for the logistics sector. Being the lifeline of the economy, logistics industry expected a set of reforms which could recognise the potential and provide an impetus to its growth. While the proposed changes suggested in the union and railway budget were welcome, there were a few damp squibs which did not quite meet the expectations.
The digital presence and relevance in the country is like never before. The established digital commerce has facilitated the growth spurt of the e-commerce industry and thus helped foster the relationship between the e-tailer and customer via mobile, laptops, computer and other digital sales medium.
